£20 per head for a WEST beer tasting hosted by the head brewer himself, followed by 3 courses of WEST infused food. Bargain eh?

It’s back…the greatest party in town is ready for it’s 2011 outing.

Last year the good ship byob was manned by the very lovely Thunder Disco Club who tore it up and this year we have stocked up on marks and sparks undies in preparation for the pant-wettingly exciting news that the 2 guardians of glasgow’s musical soul
J.D Twitch & J.G Wilkes {Optimo} will be on dj duty to take your ears and general sensory system on a magic carpet ride to boozy utopia and beyond.
For those of you who got locked out last time or who are new to this dear green city of ours, the rules of byob engagement are simple:
You bring the booze
We bring the djs and the party snacks
The place goes off like a rocket
We’ll be emptying the Bookclub at 6pm and opening the doors to BYOB at 7, last time was queued round the block and unfortunately not everyone got in as we had to draw a line somewhere. Moral of the story..get yer bahookey down sharpish.

Bookclub is going back to its roots with a celebration of the art of the written word. It’s a crazy, pixelated, high definition world we live in these days, but the authors, song writers, screen writers, poets, humourists, general masters of the verb and wizards of the word are the emotional guides and creative spirits that enure we don’t get totally lost on planet facebook.
Join the Bookclub crew for this special event... talk shop with Cargo Publishing, join the ’how to get published’ workshop, hear Alan Bisset read from his new novel, grab the chance to get your own work projected on our screen, enjoy a special soundtrack from our guest DJs on the night plus loads more events on the night
